I grew up in Central Alabama with small stature and a big mouth - two things that don't go well together. My 8th grade year consisted of relentless bullying that led to a school change. I was fortunate enough to encounter patient educators who taught me how to find and use my voice in support of others. During the dark days, I made a promise to myself to do better than the bullies and to do better for others. This promise took me from my first job with the FBI; through two branches of the U.S. military (intelligence); and was top of mind as I visited the White House in preparation for writing a presidential radio address. I love helping young adults define their passion and purpose and to chase their own version of success.   

Road Closed Ahead: The right path and “success” defined: Helping today’s youth understand the triumphs and turmoil of their “today” is short-lived and rather insignificant in the totality of their lives. The presentation is aimed at helping young adults define and realign their interests and actions in pursuit of their own success, a word that is wildly misunderstood by young and old. Was that you, God?: With a humorous and memorable delivery style, Bob relays the jaw-dropping events related to a kidney donation and subsequent father/son journey to Africa’s Mt Kilimanjaro, the tallest free-standing mountain in the world. The trek was the culmination of Bob’s progression from self-proclaimed Deist (near-non-believer) to an awakened believer on a new search for God’s guiding hand.
