About Bob

Born and raised in Alabama, Bob Kuykendall's journey is a testament to resilience, transformation, and unwavering dedication to service. After enduring the trials of adolescence, marked by the turbulence of fitting in and facing relentless bullying, Bob, through the support of two patient high school educators, found a new voice and a new motivating force, that of accomplishing more than the bullies, and accomplishing more FOR others.

Embracing his experiences with bullies as a catalyst for positive change, Bob embarked on a remarkable journey of service to his country. At just 19 years old, he began his tenure with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, swiftly transitioning to serving in the Intelligence communities of both the U.S. Navy and Army.

Bob's career advanced into a Special Agent role, where he spent 26 years investigating complex cases of fraud, narcotics, bombings, and child exploitation, in Birmingham, Alabama, Atlanta, GA, and Washington, DC. A master of disguise, Bob honed his undercover skills, even delving into the world of acting to enhance his abilities—a passion that would later resurface in unexpected ways.

Bob's gift for speaking, which he credits to his 5th grade teacher for punishing the “talks-too-much” student with oral presentations rather than sentence writing, flourished as he assumed the role of National Public Information Officer for two federal agencies. Through years of press events, media engagements, and countless public presentations, he honed his public speaking skills, laying the groundwork for his future endeavors.

At the age of 55, Bob made a decision to redefine his vision of success, pushing back on the typical ideas of “success,” in real estate being that of more sales and more money, in favor of authenticity and purpose. Bob founded The Give Back Group, a 501©3 organization funded by real estate commissions and aimed at supporting the community and those in need. Bob doubled down on his “not in it for the money” attitude by taking on the role of Mentor for new Realtors entering the Birmingham market, focusing more on their financial success in the hopes of building a legacy and reputation that carries on after his final retirement.

Armed with a wealth of diverse experiences including those above and others so unusual they would face questioning from any reader without personal explanation, Bob now channels his energy to storytelling that leads to impactful, memorable, and moving presentations. Would you NOT ask for clarification about his summiting of Africa’s Mt Kilimanjaro; published crime fiction The Addict; sky diving; scuba diving; meeting of two U.S. Presidents; master’s degree in Economic Crime Mgt; hosting his own radio show; his first movie debut in Office Uprising; donating a kidney; and even serving as a body double for Alabama’s Coach Nick Saban?

Bob will share as much or as little necessary to deliver a humorous, impactful, note-worthy, a memorable presentation to your audience. Usually with a few surprises along the way.
